At your own speed

For people who work anywhere, and want that anywhere to mean something.

Most people who come to Arco Isis arrive for a retreat. This is the other door. You get your own space on the land, everything you need to work, and complete freedom to join what's happening or ignore it entirely. Cook your own food, take a class, swim, disappear into a deadline for three weeks. Nobody will manage your time but you.

230 Mbps satellite internet

Real bandwidth, not village wifi — 230 Mbps by satellite, across the land, plus a dedicated place to sit and work with lake and mountain in front of you instead of a wall.

Fully equipped kitchen

Cook whatever you like, whenever you like. Full kitchen access — gas, fridge, cookware, the lot. The village market is minutes away.

Utilities + weekly cleaning

Power, water and fresh linens included, with housekeeping once a week. Nothing to set up, nothing to remember.

The community, when you want it

Classes, ceremonies, the shala, the fire. Join what calls you and skip what doesn't — nobody is going to knock on your door.

The spaces

Four ways to live here.

Every rate below is for the whole space, not per person — bring someone if you like. Weekly and monthly prices are shown on each card; the booking form works out the exact cost for your dates.

Glamping Tent

Safari tent

The Casita — Low & Top
$670 / month

The Casita — Low & Top

Whole house, both levels

$670 / month · $235 / week · sleeps 2

Our most complete space, and you get all of it — Low and Top together, not a room in someone else's house. The Low Casita is your studio and living room: a long desk by the window, a deep corner sofa, doors thrown open to the banana trees. Upstairs the Top Casita is the bedroom, opening onto its own balcony over the lake. Above that, a private rooftop. This is the one to take if you're staying a while and want somewhere that feels like yours.

  • Low Casita — studio, desk and living room
  • Top Casita — bedroom with its own lake balcony
  • Private rooftop above both
  • Rented as one whole house, never shared
  • Private

From people who've stayed here

The land does most of the talking.

The sanctuary is beautiful and an oasis from the busy streets of San Marcos. The location of the yoga shala is exquisite and it was a joy to have cats and dogs on site as they provided companionship and happiness.

When I booked my room with access to a private bathroom, I did not expect to stay in the absolutely beautiful Tea Temple!!! This space is gorgeous, serene, and very comfortable. Paulina ensured that I had everything I needed throughout my training and this accommodation exceeded my expectations. Thank you for providing this space to me.
Kim StixYoga teacher training
Incredible! Paulina made sure our yogi student group had everything we needed, provided us with detailed information in making arrangements for transportation and activities, and the entire Arco Isis staff made me feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable during my entire training.

The practical answers.

Where exactly is it?
San Marcos La Laguna, Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Ten minutes up from the dock on foot, or a short tuk-tuk ride. Boats run to San Marcos all day from Panajachel and the surrounding villages.
Is the internet good enough for calls?
Yes — 230 Mbps satellite, with a dedicated coworking spot. Video calls, big uploads and screen sharing are all fine. Heavy rain can slow it briefly, as satellite does anywhere; it settles quickly.
Are meals included?
No — and that's on purpose. You get full run of an equipped kitchen and the village market is minutes away, which keeps the price this low. When a retreat is running you can usually buy into the kitchen; just ask.
What if I want to extend?
Email us before your last week and we'll extend you at the same rate if the space is still free. Booking again through this page also works.
Can I cancel?
The $150 deposit is non-refundable — it's what takes the space off the market. Anything you've paid beyond that is refundable up to 14 days before you arrive.
Do I have to join anything?
Not one thing. Classes, ceremonies and gatherings are open to you and completely optional. Plenty of people come, work, swim and leave.
